Home of Board Sports Brands
The Nidecker Group is home to the most innovative and inspirational board sports and lifestyle brands: Bataleon, Emerica, éS, Etnies, Jones, Nidecker, Rome, Thirtytwo and #YES.
We create, operate, and accelerate industry-leading brands internationally with one goal: to inspire and enable athletes to lead the progression of their sport. Founded in 1887 in the Swiss Alps and one hundred percent family owned, every generation has been fueled by a passion for innovation and board sports.
We began our story as master craftsmen, making wooden wheels and tables before moving on to sleds and cross-country skis. In 1912 we started manufacturing alpine skis, then water skis, monoskis and finally snowboards in 1984.
Today, we are the oldest board sports company in the world and have built highly successful brands, which have played an integral role in the evolution of every industry in which we’ve been involved for over five generations.
We curate world class brands.
Trusted by consumers and athletes worldwide, Nidecker Group brands set the standard for innovation and performance in snowboarding and skateboarding. We offer advanced, performance-oriented products with attention to detail, high quality, sustainable and functional dependability.
Etnies stays true to its roots by sponsoring a world class team of skateboarding, snowboarding, surfing, BMX, and MTB riders, and continues its dedication by giving back to each of these communities. The brand is known for supporting the community with events like the GvR, giving 50,000 pairs of shoes to the homeless and planting more than 2 million trees in the rainforest through the Buy a Shoe, Plant a Tree program.
In 1984 the first snowboard left the Nidecker factory in Rolle, Switzerland. Today, they are the oldest European snowboard brand still in operation. Nidecker remains as a benchmark for quality and innovation, both in the workshop and on the mountain. Over the last forty years, Nidecker has championed every style of snowboarding, embracing and nurturing the diverse culture we all enjoy today. Freeriding, park laps, carving, snowsurfing, backcountry booters and side hits; they embrace it all.
